Cambodia is generally safe for travelers, especially in places like Siem Reap (home of Angkor Wat), Phnom Penh, and other tourist areas. Many visitors come every year without any issues. It’s still wise to stay alert and take common safety measures. Cambodian people are known for being friendly and helpful. Traveling with a mission team or group adds an extra layer of safety and support.
Road safety: Traffic can be chaotic. Always wear a helmet when riding a motorbike or tuk-tuk.
Health tips: Drink bottled water, use insect repellent, and be cautious with street food if you have a sensitive stomach.

A tourist visa is valid for 3 months and allows you to stay 30 days. We recommend getting it in advance to save time. The cost is approximately USD 40.
